Donating to the Bainbridge Island Book Festival

We firmly believe that the ideas and community connections that our annual Book Festival will spark must be accessible to all. But it costs money to make this event happen—from venues and equipment to marketing and author support. The Bainbridge Island Book Festival presents multiple author panels on the second day of its two-day festival. There is no charge for attendance at these panels. However, your generosity as participant-donors is important to our continuing work. BIBF provides travel and other allowances to author-panelists, some of whom come from far-flung places to participate. Individuals and families who donate to the Bainbridge Island Book Festival allow us to create a free festival that welcomes all attendees. We are deeply grateful.

All donations are tax deductible. Bainbridge Book Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your gift is tax deductible under section 501 c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.


How to Donate:

1. By sending a check to, either drawn on your personal bank account or from your QCD (Qualified Charitable Distribution, linked to your annual IRA required minimum distribution.

2. By designating your contribution through Zeffy, BIBF’s donor format (see below). Please note that all contributions through Zeffy are tax deductible and BIBF receives 100% of your donation.
